Cheryl Dangleben-York raised her flag and voice for young girls and women worldwide as the Face of Woha in 2023. She's about encouraging them to invest in themselves, boosting their confidence, and positively impacting their self-esteem. Cheryl, a proud mother of 3, hails from St. Martin, famous for its white beaches, duty-free shopping, vibrant nightlife, and friendly people. She's been an Administrative Assistant at the Parliament of St. Maarten since 2011 and has been a civil servant for over 20 years. Cheryl is also a member of the Rotary St. Maarten Sunset Club and holds the role of 2022-2023 Division I Director for District 81 Toastmasters, where she's been a member since 2011. Fun fact: in 2016, she participated in the speech Evaluation contest and took 2nd place out of 11 countries at the Curacao conference. As Franklin D. Roosevelt once said, "We cannot always build the future of our youth, but we can build youth for the future." That's why she recently founded the “York to Youth,” also known as the AME Foundation, to strengthen and empower youth to be independent, critical players in their community. Cheryl strongly believes that strong families communicate well about good and bad things. This allows them to celebrate together when times are good and to talk about problems when times are tough. Finally, she champions the idea that strong women have the power to shape the world, and we need more of them. Her message is clear: become a powerful woman and bring about positive social change.
